Corrections are the most useful thing you can send
Cairo changes faster than a written guide can. Ticket prices at Giza and Saqqara are revised, museum galleries are rehung, restaurants close over the summer, and the exchange rate moves under every budget figure on the site. If you have just been and something here did not match what you found, that is worth more than any amount of desk research.
A correction is quickest to act on when it includes the page it appears on, the specific line that is wrong, and what you saw instead — with a date, if you have one. Corrections are checked against a primary source where one exists before the page is amended.
Other things people write in about
- Gaps in the coverage. If you looked for something on this site and it was not here, say so. Requests shape what gets written next.
- Broken pages or links. Include the URL you were on and, if you can, what device and browser you were using.
- Photography and copyright. If you believe an image or passage here infringes your rights, get in touch and identify the material and the page — it will be taken down while it is looked into.
- Privacy and data requests. Anything covered by the privacy policy — access, deletion, or a question about what is collected — can come through this form.
What this site cannot help with
Cairo Tourism Guide is an independent publication, not a travel agency, and it is not connected to any Egyptian government body. That means a few common requests are ones we genuinely cannot answer:
- Bookings. We cannot reserve hotels, buy site tickets, arrange airport transfers, or hold a place on a tour. Where a guide names an operator, book with them directly.
- Visas and entry. We can point you at Egypt’s official e-visa portal, but we cannot check your eligibility, chase an application, or advise on your particular passport. Use the official channels or your nearest Egyptian consulate.
- Complaints about a business. If a hotel, driver or guide has let you down, we have no standing to intervene. Tell us anyway if it changes what we should be writing.
- Emergencies. Nothing here is monitored around the clock. If you are in trouble in Egypt, contact your embassy or the local emergency services rather than this form.
Paid placements
To save everyone time: this site does not accept sponsored posts, paid link placements, guest articles, or payment for inclusion in any guide, and that is not negotiable at any price. Pitches of that kind are deleted unread.

Replies
This is a small independent site rather than a staffed newsroom, so replies are not instant — expect a few days. Corrections are usually acted on before they are answered, so you may see the page change first.
